Eight months into design and we scrapped it all. Back to square one.

WHA??

Yep, we hated it. Well, not hate it. But Rob says it’s going to be waaaay too expensive to build with its complicate roofline, plus we could NOT figure out how to shrink it down. We really can’t afford to build nor do we need a house that big. Frustrating to say the least.

So it’s back to scouring online house plans for something we like. It’s a chore. I think my eyes are going to explode from the number of floor plans I have analyzed and discredited. There is always something I want to change, or that’s not right. Why can’t this be simple?!

I found two house plans that could work, with adjustments. So we’ll leave it today at that. 

Rob is going to draw out what he thinks may work on a napkin. I’ll let you know how it goes.
