Taking care of our clients is our first and foremost priority. We are a positive, energetic environment with a passion for mothers and their families. We offer a full suite of amenities that makes family portraits that much easier - from breakfast items and kid snacks, to boppy pillows, an endless supply of diapers in every size, and a powder room designed to make a woman happy.
We provide everything you need, and on the day of your session, all you have to do is arrive and we take care of the rest.
We bend over backwards to produce an incredible, memorable experience with imagery and final product that makes you swoon with joy over your growing family.
And Porter (the pug) will be there to greet you every day!

We are technically and safety trained to handle newborns. In every session, Julia works with an assistant to ensure there is always someone there to care for baby. This allows Julia maximum creativity and image design.
We are trained in all areas of newborn health and physical limitations, deeply caring for each child's personality and sensitivities. Sessions operate on "baby" time. For this reason we only photograph one session per day.
All of our employees are vaccinated for major childhood diseases and hospital-grade hand sanitizer is used every session. Soiled blankets are a common occurrence! So, all props are washed in organic, baby friendly products.

Designed for contemporary commercial and high-end portraiture, our 17' x 18' white wall is used exclusively for Jewel Images clients. Allowing us to shoot portrait, catalog, and social media branding work - really any type of commercial or consumer project - we are the leading resource for businesses in the area to advertise their products and brands, and one of the TOP newborn studios in the world. On top of that, the state-of-the-art lighting gives us flexibility to control how each image looks, giving a variety of results to both portrait and commercial imagery.

Our studio is 2600 square feet, including 1000 ft of event space in our back area. We have a kitchen and bathroom along with laundry services for our newborn needs.

We are fully equipped for design and have hundreds of outfits, hats and headbands for our tiniest clients. Julia selects props that complement newborn skin and their small size, plus she chooses what will photograph well and not overtake the newborn as the subject of the image. Therefore, we encourage our clients to trust us to choose the props for their session and leave their store bought finds at home.

We are located on the south end of Bend near the Old Mill District in the revitalized Box Factory building. Our building is historic and over 100 years old, giving it tons of character. It was a former wood crate factory that served businesses by creating wood boxes to ship goods across the country via train. Located near us: Immersion Brewing, River Pig. Sekse Dance Studio, Valentines Deli and the Brown Owl. There are lots of fun things to do in our shopping center!

Newborn sessions on average take about 2 hours. Sometimes more, sometimes less as we work on "baby" time. Family and children's shoots are generally one hour and commercial shoots depend on the time hired and are charged an hourly rate.

When you book your session, our staff will send you in-depth information on choosing outfits and preparing for your session. Julia is also available to personally assist you in this area. Either through video conferencing or your in-person consultation, Julia will walk you through what to wear. Many clients bring multiple options and let Julia help them coordinate when they arrive at the studio.
